Getting to know more about coral frag

Most of the new comers to the hobby of salt water aquarium usually ask this basic question that “what is coral frag?”, as they might saw such options in the internet as well as in the aquatic store when coming across the options for growing corals in the reef tank.

What is coral frag?

Coral frag is nothing but a small piece of coral which has been cut off from any kind of coral and latched onto a rock or a place which can hold those coral frag and grow into a coral reef under specific conditions. Usually, for the coral frag process, the coral will be cut off from the very bottom branch of the reef which is then tied to a rock that has some type of nylon based fishing line or reef glue in it. When the frags are finally set, it will be placed back into the aquarium for letting to regrow on its own.
